Neurodynamic Psychology
Trauma Template
How injury organizes the nervous system.
What it is
An unfinished developmental sequence organized around danger, power, exposure, or misattribution. The body learns what became necessary to survive.
How it sounds
This always happens to me.
I freeze.
I disappear.
I can’t move.
No one understands me.
What it creates
Self-blame. Shame. Constricted range. Neural looping. Hypervigilance. Collapse or overfunctioning. Attraction to familiar harm. Difficulty receiving care.
What it protects
Visibility. Agency. Desire. Protest. Pleasure. Rest. Expression. Boundary.
Therapeutic task
Locate the conditions. Reassign blame accurately. Reawaken adult capacities. Borrow strength from intact networks. Allow the interrupted sequence to complete.
Trauma is intelligent protection waiting for reorientation.
