Vectors

A Neurodynamic Pattern

What is a vector?

A vector is the directional pull of unresolved organization in the nervous system. Trauma does not act only as memory. It behaves like a vector, carrying direction, magnitude, and conditions under which it activates.

How it appears

Repeated reactions. Predictable defenses. Narrowed range. Recurring relational positions. Delay, collapse, overreaction, or looping in the same territory.

What it does

A vector organizes the body around old conditions. It pulls perception, emotion, and action toward familiar outcomes, making survival feel like identity.

Clinical markers

Same issue, different setting. Body hijack. Fight, flight, freeze, or fawn. Shame. Repetition. Loss of choice.

Therapeutic task

Identify the vector. Read its conditions. Bring consciousness to the sequence. Complete the interrupted developmental task. Restore range, authorship, and choice.

Signal is information. Choice is development.
